Disc of the Flying Red Cloud

I'm sure most of you that are more informed all things have probably already done this, but for those that haven't here's an easy to get, Panderian mount the Disc of Flying Red Cloud. I just found out how to get it a couple days ago from a good friend (thanks for that!).

You've seen it, the disc you fly around on (belves look like they're going to die holding on but oh well!).

Anyway, it's the mount you get from becoming EXALTED with the Lorewalkers. You know Lorewalker Cho that's everywhere questing through Panderia. Well if you collect all the lore in the different zones you will be exalted. So an easy to get Rep (not weeks of grinding anything!!!). Added bonus, if you're going for one of the get so many Rep's achievements this is quick.

It's fairly simple to complete flying (a few hours with a flying mount max speed) or you can ground mount run through and collect all the lore, but will take longer as it will require killing mobs around some of the lore pieces.

I have been picking these up (you know shiny something must click on it!) and reading them over the past year, but didn't realize they added up to a mount!!! Nor did I know where they were stored! Well once you collect all of one series it goes into a lore book that Lorewalker Cho will give you - he tells the story and it's kept in the "Seat of Knowlege" with all the other Panderian info you collect. So you can go back and read them or talk to Cho and he'll tell you the story again. (I keep seeing hints of what's coming with the Garrison housing!)

So, did this last night - it's really quite easy, I did use the info below to finish, although had quite a few already done, as there were about five that were only missing one piece of lore.

If you have TomTom, you can make macros for each zone (see the ones below Mannheim4631 shared on WoWHead) as it makes finding these very painless.  It will put markers on your map too.

Weekend fun

It was Alteric Valley weekend. Sooo - lots of AV's played, to the point Sas leveled from 75.5 to 77 with no problem. As I love BGs (win/lose/tie) I'm still thrilled about the leveling xp available now. The only down side - the level 80's want quick for the marks to requeue, the 'levelers' want a drawn out game as the xp for taking objectives in the mid-70's is 18-20K.

As Sassi reached the magic flying number, she can no get around Northrend much easier, although she's having the same issue - artisan is not paid for, just cold-weather. Still, it's better than ground transport! Here's how she exited Dalaran - out the sewer drain - levitate ftw!!
Right now she's parked in Dragonblight when not out working her Kalu'ak rep grind. As I didn't do Dragonblight on Sithi, I'm going to do both the Horde and Alliance side pretty much at the same time.

Sithi leveled so fast she has all of Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Sholazar, Zul'Drak, and Storm Peaks. I'm going to hop back/forth Alliance/Horde in those areas.

The two DK's, Greaf (Alliance) and Biya (Horde) are going to be the next to level at least to 70. I'm not sure I have any great plans on max level with them, but they're both herbing/inscription so I want them high enough to be able to harvest their own herbs in Northrend.

Biya bought her pretty flying mount (lvl 60 flying is fantastic!)
After those two, I'm going to work on the Horde hunter and for Alliance - narrowed to pally, shammy, lock or druid - is that narrowed? lol

Everyone over lvl 20 has mounts now, although I tend to forget that they do at times. The flying, I swear it's the best part of WoW at times.

Achievements

The WoW Achievements when they first came out seemed like a total knock-off of the Warhammer ToK (Tome of Knowledge) - which is awesome in itself. Being able to track your progess through every aspect of the game is fantastic, but I digress. The WoW achievements I've grown to find amusing, fun and irritating at the same time.

Some are funny, some are so 'come on donkey the carrots in front of you' and we all chase that darn carrot! One of the ones I've been lusting after for months is the albino drake from the mount achievement Leading the Cavalry. The next one is the Mountain o' Mounts and the Blue Dragonhawk (Red for Horde).

This is Sithi's newest mount the Swift Zhevra getting her a step closer!

I do want this albino drake, but haven't actually been working that hard to get it. Sithi is sitting right now at 40 mounts. If we grind out rep with the Kurenai and the artisan riding skill we'll make that easily. Now to stop spending money on the alts!
